4th Annual Red, White & Chocolate Celebration
The Boys & Girls Clubs of Albany is proud to present the 4th Annual Red White and Chocolate Celebration, an evening of networking accompanied with fine hor d’oeuvres, an array of wines to please your palate and of course chocolate galore amidst Albany’s own artistic New York State Museum on Thursday, November 10th, 2011. It is anticipated that 300 attendees to mix and mingle between 6:00pm and 10:00pm and participating in our silent auction.
For 120 years, the Boys & Girls Clubs have provided for the needs of Albany’s youth and are true keystones in the communities we serve. One club mother states “My daughter has gained a new sense of self awareness and is much more able to effectively express herself since joining the Boys & Girls Clubs of Albany. The Club staff and her peers are very sensitive to her not being a ‘typical child’. Her positive growth and her belief in herself continue to be apparent at home as well as at school”.
Albany County Undersheriff Craig Apple tells us “Over the past several months the Capital District Community has rallied and graciously helped save the Albany Boys and Girls club from dissolving. Well our work isn’t done yet! Please come out and join us in honoring three capital district heroes on November 11th at the New York State Museum from 6-10PM. It will be a night not only to honor our Community Impact winners, but a night to celebrate the re-launch of your local Boys & Girls Clubs of Albany”.
