The City of Troy and Wellcare present the 5th Annual Uncle Sam Jam takes place this year on Saturday, August 28, from 2pm to 8pm, at Historic Powers Park in Lansingburgh. This year’s show, billed as, Guitar Hero’s, will feature some of the Capital Regions finest guitarist over the course of the day, including, John Morse, Chris Busone, Frank Daley, Joe Mele, and 13 year old guitar sensation, Jared Alpern.

Two 50/50 raffles will be held over the course of the afternoon, benefiting the upcoming Uncle Sam Parade & Festival, held on September 12. Over the years, the Uncle Sam Jam has featured some of the finest musical groups from Upstate New York. This year’s event will offer more of the same, with a few surprises.

The music lineup for the day:

• 2PM John Morse Band
• 4PM Chris Busone Band
• 6PM Killer B’s (Featuring, Frank Daley, Joe Mele & 13 yr old guitar sensation, Jared Alpern)
