Do you have a band? Are you an independent artist? Are you a DJ trying to make it big? If you are a local Capital Region musical act, or if you frequently play Capital Region venues, we’ll promote you for free – right here!

We will give you your own page on AlbanyAlive.com and anytime one of our photographers captures you in the act, it will be published right here. If you have your own photos you want to submit, we can put those up too – we just need you to watermark the photographer’s name in the bottom left so we can give him/her credit for the photos.

What else can go on the page? We’re flexible – just about anything. Link to your website, MySpace, Facebook, Twitter, and online merchandise/store. Use Bobcat Band Manager to import your gig schedule. We will even let you put Mp3′s into our music player and embed YouTube videos right on your own page.

How do you get featured? It’s really pretty easy. Drop us an e-mail and let us know you want to claim your spot. Attach your bio, photos, mp3′s, and anything else you want up on the page. Put it all in a zip, or give us a download link from a site like Box.net. Think about this as a digital press kit.

We are still in the process of designing and programming how everything is going to look. For now: contact us and the minute we are ready to launch the music directory – you will be featured.

Oh, and if you want to be really cool. You can return the favor by putting a link to us on your website. If you want a cool graphic or something that fits well with the site design you already have, we will have our designer whip something up.
